Following the implementation of COVID-19 restrictions in Wales the Welsh Government commissioned a review into the impact on air quality of the lockdown period.  We are pleased to publish the provisional analysis of this data taken from the Welsh Air Quality Network, covering February to May 2020, alongside analysis of the data from a public health perspective by Public Health Wales.

The provisional report outlines trends in Air Quality data for NO2, O3, PM10, PM2.5 and Black Carbon during the reporting period.

We are pleased to announce the release of the latest annual air quality report for Wales.

The report covers the WAQF's activity in 2018 and important policy developments in 2018. As usual we review the latest trends in air pollution measurements and implications for policy compliance as well as maps of Air Quality for NO2, O3, PM10 and PM2.5 in 2018.

The area of special interest this year looks at non-exhaust emissions of particulate matter - an increasing challenge. The health chapter looks at embedding public health in local air quality management.
